STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV) – A new interactive holiday story is lighting up the streets of the Queen City. The Staunton Downtown Development Association launched its window-walk display on the weekend of Small Business Saturday.
The Holly Holiday Window Walk began with a vision tied to the city’s annual Christmas parade theme. Scotty Tiernan, events and marketing director at the Staunton Downtown Development Association (SDDA), said the parade’s theme changes every year; this year’s theme is “Holly Jolly.”
After the announcement and during holiday planning, Tiernan drew inspiration from the holly plant and researched it with the goal of incorporating it into the display.
