CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Each year, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving offers nonprofits a chance to raise funds, awareness, and resources to support their work through Giving Tuesday — a day of giving and generosity across the country.
“Giving Tuesday is really an opportunity for the nonprofits in the community to raise their hand and say, ‘Hey, we’re here doing good work in our community. If you’ve heard of us, if you recognize us, or you believe in our mission, then please support us during this one day,’” said Les Sinclair, communications manager with the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.
