More snow on the way for Albemarle, Nelson and Augusta counties: NWS

Just as a fleeting, but pretty, blanket of snow arrived in the Shenandoah Valley and melted away the following day, another storm system is moving in overnight with subfreezing temperatures that may lead to a hazardous start to your week.

A Winter Weather Advisory was issued Sunday afternoon from the National Weather Service and is in effect from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, for Albemarle, Nelson and Augusta counties, and Central Virginia Blue Ridge.

Total snow accumulations expected is one to three inches, with locally up to four inches possible along the Blue Ridge Mountains…
