Waynesboro woman sentenced in deadly February crash

WAYNESBORO, Va. (WHSV) – The woman who was charged following a deadly car crash in Waynesboro in February appeared in Waynesboro Circuit court Monday for her sentencing hearing.

During an August hearing, 32-year-old Brianca Estes, plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter, driving under the influence of narcotics, and three counts of driving while intoxicated causing serious injury.

Estes was sentenced to 12 years in prison Monday in the Feb. 25 car crash at the intersection of Hopeman Parkway and Evershire Street, which killed the other driver, 31-year-old Brittany Jean Comer…
