Albemarle Police earn state accreditation following comprehensive self-assessment

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) – The Albemarle County Police Department has earned state accreditation from the Virginia Law Enforcement Professional Standards Commission, marking a major milestone after a year-long internal review and department-wide improvements.

Chief Sean Reeves said the accreditation reflects the department’s commitment to professional standards and transparency.
