New fund created to honor life of Waynesboro graduate Blake Durrett

A new fund aims to honor the life of Blake Durrett and help children staying at Ruth’s WARM House.

Smooth Athletics co-owners Shannon Boyle and Jason Miller created the Blake Durrette Fund to honor the life of their former employee. An outgoing personality, Durrett, a 2018 Waynesboro High School graduate, was known for his humor, love for Batman and The Walking Dead, and perfectly styled afro blow out.

Considered part of the family at Smooth Athletics — a Waynesboro-based business specializing in logo design, embroidery, screen printing and promotional products — a large framed picture of Durrett is on display in the office…
