VERONA, Va. (WHSV) – The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Verona man Sunday following a foot pursuit in the Midvale Drive area that involved a large law enforcement presence.
At approximately 9:47 a.m., deputies with ACSO were in the area attempting to locate stolen property, ACSO said. During the effort, deputies observed the suspect, Joseph Steven Brown, 48, of Verona, in the area. When one of the deputies approached Brown, he ran away.
ACSO said a deputy pursued Brown on foot but lost sight of him. More units responded to the area and established a perimeter before Brown was found on an adjacent property where he was hiding under a shed…
