CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Parking in Downtown Charlottesville will get easier starting Tuesday, December 16 when the Market Street and Water Street garages launch a new drive-in, drive-out system.
The new system eliminates parking tickets, instead using cars as parking passes. The Metropolis technology uses license plates to track entry and exit, cutting down on equipment failures and exit delays that have plagued the garages for years.
