Motorcycle groups make special delivery to UVA Health Children’s Hospital

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Harrisonburg’s Proud American Riders and Brotherhood on Wheels made a heartfelt delivery to UVA Health Children’s, sharing toys in honor of families’ journeys with childhood cancer.

“Seeing that pile of toys over there makes me really excited for these kids because I know every time that something was brought into our room, it just lit him up,” said Tori Hinnant, mom of Waylon, a former patient at UVA Children’s who battled brain cancer.

Cathy Breeden, president of the Harrisonburg Group of the Proud American Riders, said the group’s toy drive collected more than 300 toys, delivered in honor of Waylon and the children of the Brotherhood on Wheels president who have battled cancer at UVA…
