CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -Several organizations came together Sunday at the Cherry Avenue Boys & Girls Club to support the ninth annual toy drive, offering families a different way to prepare for the holidays.
“This is an opportunity for us to give back to the community and help some families in need,” said co-organizer Robert Gray.
Inside the club, the event moved at a steady pace. Families traveled through the gym alongside volunteers, with children playing basketball nearby, Christmas music playing throughout the space, and Santa seated nearby greeting kids as they passed.
