CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A boil water advisory for a portion of northern Albemarle County, caused by a Wednesday water main break, remains in place Friday, according to the Albemarle County Service Authority.
The impacted area includes the Route 29 North area between Lewis and Clark Drive and the North Fork Rivanna River Bridge. Much of that area experienced loss of service or low water pressure Wednesday morning, the ACSA and Rivanna Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority worked into the night Wednesday to repair the break.
By 8:30 p.m. Wednesday full service had returned but the boil water advisory remains in place as authorities test the water quality.
