CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Good morning. Bundle up. Its a frigid start to the work day. A High Wind Warning remains in effect for the Blue Ridge mountains until later this afternoon. Wind speeds will be steady, but not as gusty as yesterday. While temperatures will be the mid to upper 30s, windchills will be about ten degrees colder. Conditions will gradually warm back into the 40s Wednesday. Meanwhile, a dry cold front will advance across the region, cooling temperatures back into the 30s New Years Day. A late week warming trend will take us through the weekend and into early next week. Have a great and safe day !
