CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Respiratory illnesses are hitting hard in Central Virginia, including Charlottesville and Albemarle County.
New data from the Virginia Department of Health shows nearly 22 percent of emergency room visits in Central Virginia are tied to respiratory illness. That’s slightly down from late December, but health officials still label activity levels as high for the first week of January.
