‘Extreme risk’ for snowstorm in Augusta County region of Virginia

It is looking like a major storm with snow and ice will affect Staunton, Augusta County and Waynesboro this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

A winter storm is set to spread heavy snow and ice from Texas through the Carolinas and mid-Atlantic states to the northeast starting Friday, according to AccuWeather. The snow is forecasted to arrive in our area Saturday afternoon and continue on Sunday changing to a mixture of snow and sleet before ending by Monday morning.
