Food pantries restock and re-open following snow-storm depletion

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – The aftermath of Sunday’s snowstorm closed doors at the places people turn to when there are no other options for food. Now, they are beginning to reopen and provide their normal services.

Jane Colony Mills runs Loaves and Fishes Pantry and said their doors are back open after the winter storm forced a temporary closure. They reopened Tuesday, January 27.

“We were able to reopen yesterday and only had 104 households. And I think it’s because people can’t get out. I think they’re, you know, they’re still stuck in wherever they are,” Colony Mills…
