Charlottesville Schools decides against virtual learning days amid icy conditions

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Icy conditions from last week’s winter storm have led to extended closures for Charlottesville City Schools, but students are not expected to spend their time at home online as the school division has opted for no virtual learning days.

“We learned during the pandemic that shifting to online for students requires so much planning and even then it’s no replacement for in-person learning,” said Amanda Simalchik community relations coordinator for Charlottesville City Schools.
