NELSON COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — A Nelson County man arrested on animal cruelty charges in 2025, after six dogs were seized from his property, was found guilty by a jury in Nelson Circuit Court and convicted on all counts.
In early 2025, dogs were found on Robert Shell’s property without food or water and in what was described as disturbing living conditions. Officials also discovered a dead puppy at his home.
