CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Good afternoon. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for most of the region until Tuesday morning. We have also issued First Alert Weather days for today and Tuesday as well. While some minor accumulations will be possible, mainly grassy areas and untreated surfaces, some roads, bridges, and overpasses may become a little icy tonight through tomorrow morning. When traveling allow extra time, and take it slow. Eventually the wintry mix will transition to rain by Tuesday morning. Additional showers will be possible Wednesday. Meanwhile, conditions will turn much warmer for the mid and late week, and last into the weekend. Have a great, and safe day !
