ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) – Construction began Monday, March 2 on a 220-foot pedestrian bridge that will connect Biscuit Run Park to residential areas off 5th Street, including the Southwood community.
The multi-million-dollar bridge will span a creek that currently divides the park from those neighborhoods. Albemarle County said the project will also provide ADA-compliant access and a second entrance to the park.
