In a series of presentations before the Madison County Board of Supervisors(BOS), officials from the Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) delivered a sobering message: while starting salaries are becoming competitive, the county is increasingly serving as a “training ground” for neighboring localities that offer significantly higher pay for experienced personnel.
