Charlottesville school board greenlights union contract for support staff

Charlottesville’s school board unanimously approved a new collective bargaining agreement with the Charlottesville Education Association for support staff at its meeting last Thursday.

The agreement will deliver education support professionals like school nutrition workers and custodians a 10.5% raise in fiscal years 2027–2029. (Virginia’s fiscal years run from July 1–June 30.)
