‘Cuse takes down Virginia on the road

CHARLOTTESVILLE, V.A. (WSYR) — The Syracuse women’s lacrosse team picked up its seventh-straight win beating Virginia on the road, 6-5.

This one was a low scoring game with Molly Guzik leading the way with two goals. Syracuse led 5-4 at the break and scored just one more goal after halftime to take the win. The defense caused 14 turnovers and held UVA scoreless in third quarter and allowed only one goal in the fourth.

Next up, Syracuse travels to UAlbany for a 3 p.m. matchup on Tuesday…
