Daikin Applied in Verona was placed on a lockdown the morning of Wednesday, March 25, after an employee reportedly made concerning statements, the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office said.
There were also comments on social media suggesting there was an active shooter threat at the facility, located at 207 Laurel Hill Road. The sheriff’s office said the reports of a shooter were not true.
