Local woman with spinal condition stuck in the hospital after loss of VA coverage

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — Jemel Snyder, 47, is a local resident with spina bifida. Once dependent on Veterans Affairs coverage, she’s now unsure what to do next after her coverage unexpectedly ended.

“It’s scary, I’ve depended on it since I was 18 years old. And I’m not sure what I’m going to do,” said Snyder, who got the condition from her father’s exposure to Agent Orange during the Vietnam War.
