CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – UVA Health’s Blue Ridge Poison Center has noticed a 32% increase in severe health issues because of kava products.
Kava is a psycho-active plant that comes from the Pacific Islands. Poison centers nationwide have seen a 383% increase in kava-related calls.
