Another transportation project is moving forward in Crozet following the recent opening of a roundabout at the intersection of U.S. 250 and Route 240. The Albemarle Board of Supervisors learned this week that a park-and-ride lot at Interstate 64’s exit 107 received a notice to proceed on March 30.
“The fixed completion date of that project is this coming December 30th, so you should see a lot of movement on that project here very soon,” said Carrie Shepheard, resident engineer of the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Charlottesville residency.
Work also continues on purchasing right of way for a project called Fifth Street Hub and Trails and Shepheard said the goal is to get that work advertised for construction bids in May…
