CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Exactly 19 years after the mass shooting at Virginia Tech, members of the University of Virginia community came together Thursday, April 16, to sign a pledge against gun violence.
Those who helped organize the University Pledge Against Gun Violence say it’s about standing in solidarity with peers in Blacksburg and to continue to recognize the loss UVA endured in 2022, when three football players were shot and killed.
