Charlottesville area’s luxury housing market ranked third in the nation

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – A new analysis ranks Charlottesville‘s luxury housing market as one of the best in the nation, as higher housing costs continue to transform the region.

The greater Charlottesville area is ranked third in the country, right behind Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Pittsfield, Massachusetts, in an analysis from the Wall Street Journal and Realtor.com that praises “smaller lifestyle markets.”

“It is an interesting ranking,” said Neil Williamson, President of the Free Enterprise Forum. “I’m not certain how much I put into it, but it basically says Charlottesville is a very attractive place to live and has high-end product that is reasonably priced.”…
