Hamilton County breaks ground on $34M Soddy Daisy Middle School renovation project

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — Hamilton County officials broke ground Wednesday on a major renovation project at Soddy Daisy Middle School that leaders say will expand capacity and modernize learning spaces for students.

The project is estimated at $34 million and will be funded through the Hamilton County Commission’s facilities bond.

Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2026, with completion anticipated in fall 2029.

Plans for the school include updated and modernized classrooms and learning spaces, a new gymnasium, and upgrades to the existing cafeteria.
