Lamine Yamal Career News Announced Ahead of Spain’s World Cup Opener

Lamine Yamal of the Spanish national team is with his team in Chattanooga, Tennessee, preparing for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The team is staying at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Chattanooga Downtown while training at the Baylor School sports complex.

The 5-foot-10 winger plays for FC Barcelona in his native country of Spain. Now 18 years old, he debuted for the senior team at just 16 years old and became the youngest player to represent and score for the national team in its history. Yamal came to the United States with dreams of bringing home a World Cup trophy, but there is one thing he is guaranteed to bring back home with him.
