CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — Downtown Chattanooga businesses are seeing mixed impacts from heightened security around the Spanish National Team’s stay in the Scenic City, with some owners saying barricades and street closures are diverting customers away from their doors.
The team is staying at the Embassy Suites on Broad Street in Chattanooga while they train in the city.
Gates and barricades have also been set up around the hotel, blocking part of the road as fans try to catch a glimpse of the international soccer stars.
