Catoosa Co. school leaders consider property tax increase as residents urge other options

CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. — Catoosa County school leaders are weighing a property tax increase that would raise the school system’s millage rate.

But some residents say the school board should be looking for funding elsewhere.

The Catoosa County Board of Education announced Thursday that it is considering a proposed 2026 property tax millage rate of 15.750 mills.
