SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tenn. — A 70-year-old grandmother rescued five children, including infant twins, from a massive house fire Tuesday evening on Walden’s Ridge.
The Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management says a 911 call came in at 5:30 p.m. reporting a garage fire at 515 Gentlemen Ridge in the Brow Estates subdivision.
Walden’s Ridge Emergency Service responded and arrived to find heavy smoke and fire in the garage.
Firefighters worked to establish a water supply and requested a large mutual aid response for additional manpower.
