Dade County voters to weigh FLOST and 1% TSPLOST to fund roads and offset property taxes

DADE COUNTY, Ga. — Two proposed sales taxes that could reshape how Dade County pays for roads and eases the burden of property taxes are now headed to voters.

The Dade County Board of Commissioners chose to place both a Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, or TSPLOST, and a Floating Local Option Sales Tax, known as FLOST, on a future referendum Tuesday.
