Hamilton County mayor proposes $1.9M bid for Snow Hill-Short Tail Springs Road upgrades

OOLTEWAH, Tenn. — A long-awaited safety upgrade is moving closer to reality at a busy Ooltewah intersection after Mayor Weston Wamp on Wednesday announced a proposal to accept a $1.9 million bid for improvements at Snow Hill Road and Short Tail Springs Road.

The project would be among the first major efforts funded through the County Roads Improvement Fund, a dedicated county initiative created by Wamp and District 9 Hamilton County Commissioner Steve Highlander.
