Chattanooga officer honored with Three Stars of Tennessee Award after shooting injury

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A Chattanooga Police officer was one of six first responders to receive the Three Stars of Tennessee Award Thursday, which recognizes public servants who were killed or suffered a career-ending injury in the line of duty.

Officer Ryan Berg was wounded while responding to a shots-fired call on Dec. 28th, 2025. Police say he sustained gunshot wounds to his nose, cheek, left hand and left forearm.
