CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The family of a 4-year-old boy who drowned at a Chattanooga apartment complex pool last month has filed a wrongful death lawsuit, claiming the pool’s gate could be opened by young children and that no lifeguard or qualified pool operator was on duty.
Sy’mir Draco Vinson died Aug. 20, four days after he was found underwater at the pool at The Reserve at Mountain Pass on Central Avenue.
