Woman Found Dead at Tennessee Home, Teen Now Facing Homicide Charge

A 59-year-old woman was found shot dead inside her home in Grundy County, Tennessee, early Friday morning. By that same afternoon, a 17-year-old girl was in custody.

That turnaround is fast. And it raises a lot of questions that the initial reports don’t answer.

What Happened in Tracy City

TBI special agents joined the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office at the request of 12th Judicial District Attorney General Courtney Lynch to investigate the death of Debra Gayle Green, born December 6, 1966, who was found deceased from a gunshot wound inside her residence at the 3300 block of State Route 56 in Tracy City.

Green’s body was sent for an autopsy. No other details about the scene have been released.
