CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Drivers should expect lane closures on two bridges in the Chattanooga area this week as crews conduct routine safety inspections.
The Tennessee Valley Authority and the Tennessee Department of Transportation will close one lane at a time on TN State Route 153 across Chickamauga Dam on Tuesday, Oct. 20th, and Wednesday, Oct. 21th.
One northbound lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday. One southbound lane will close during the same hours Wednesday. The dam will remain open to traffic.
A separate inspection of the C.B. Robinson Bridge on Dupont Parkway, or State Route 319, is scheduled for Oct. 20th through Oct. 23rd, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time each day.
