Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel didn’t have to go far to see his running back of the future as Baylor (TN) five-star David Gabriel Georges was in town to play Knoxville Catholic (TN) on Friday night, Oct. 30.
While he’s focused on the present and near-future, Heupel also took some time out of his night to catch up with Baylor freshman quarterback Marshall Manning, the son of NFL Hall of Famer and Tennessee Volunteers legend Peyton Manning.
A video shot by Sam Rothman of WATE 6 News in Knoxville shows Heupel and the younger Manning chatting before Baylor’s final regular season. Marshall was not suited up for the game after missing last week’s game against Ensworth (TN) as well.

Regarded by many as the future of Baylor’s program going into the post-David Gabriel Georges era, Manning has missed some time this year with injuries.
