Arrest Report: Tennessee Driver Kept Following a Man Home After 911 Advised Him to Stop, Then a Bullet Went Through a Living Room

Luke Roberts, 21, was still on the phone with a Hamilton County 911 dispatcher on Halloween when, according to the sheriff’s office arrest report, the dispatcher advised him to stop following another driver once he had the man’s license plate. Local 3 News, which reported what the arrest report says, writes that Roberts kept following anyway, from Dayton Pike through Retro Hughes Road and Back Valley Road to a home on Fuller Lane in Sale Creek, Tennessee. The other man, a private citizen Backfire News is not naming, told deputies a different story. He said Roberts cut him off, brake-checked him and followed him, and that he was holding a phone to photograph Roberts’s plate, not a gun. He said he felt multiple impacts on the back of his truck as he pulled into his driveway, got out unarmed and was shot in the left ankle. Only then, he told deputies, did he take a gun from under his seat and fire until it was empty…
