Lee University’s Faculty Brass Quintet and the Student Brass Ensemble will perform on Monday, Feb. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in Squires Recital Hall, located in Lee’s Humanities Center. High school brass students will join the faculty for this musical event. Registration begins at 4 p.m., followed by rehearsal and instruction from the Faculty Brass Quintet. The event is free for high school students interested in brass music.
The Faculty Brass Quintet includes Dr. Brian Reichenbach and Dr. Barkey Bryant on trumpets, Gordon James on horn, Dr. Doug Warner on trombone, and Dr. Jesse McConnell on tuba. The program will feature selections from Paul Dukas, Andre Lafosse, and Alexander Goedicke. Warner, a professor of music at Lee, looks forward to working with high school students.
Dr. Brian Reichenbach, a trumpet performer and teacher in Tennessee, is part of the quintet. He has performed nationally with concert organist Rhonda Sider Edgington and the Chattanooga Symphony. He has also taught trumpet at Lee and other universities.
