Three Tennessee cities have been named among the best places to live in the country , according to personal finance website Money . The list focuses on cities which place an emphasis on not just affordability, but also diversity, culture, and joie de vivre .
Chattanooga, Clarksville and Knoxville were listed for being cultural hubs, sprawling with music and art, as well as being booming cities, “more than just college towns.” The list, released in April and which Money has been compiling for over three decades, features cities from all over the United States, however not every single state was included.
“This year’s ‘Best Places to Live’ isn’t just about numbers. We chose 50 cities and towns that offer affordability, good schools and strong job markets,” wrote Money. “But more than that, these are places with a palpable spirit, nurtured and sustained by engaged citizens and receptive public officials.”
