Chattanooga Police investigating fatal Forest Dale Lane shooting that left 20-year-old man dead

Chattanooga, TN – According to the police officials, right before 10 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to reports of shots fired in the 900 block of Forest Dale Lane. While en route, officers received an update that someone had been shot.

Upon arriving at the residence, they found the victim suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Officers immediately began administering life-saving measures until Chattanooga Fire and Hamilton County EMS arrived. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

CPD’s Homicide Unit launched an investigation, with the Crime Scene Unit processing the area.

Preliminary findings indicated that the victim and the suspect, 22-year-old Alaina Stallings, had been in an argument prior to the shooting.

The two were reportedly in a domestic relationship, and Stallings allegedly retrieved a firearm and shot the victim.

Stallings was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center. Authorities noted that the investigation remains ongoing.
