It is my birthday week, so you know I am celebrating every minute. You missed a good one if you didn’t go to Fannie Moffitt this past weekend. I borrowed a darling 6-year-old to hang out with me, and we ended up having a big-time riding ponies, petting critters, painting pumpkins, climbing on hay bales, ogling cool cars, eating yummy food, and seeing a bunch of friends and neighbors. Hats off to the Fannie Pack for the best one yet. While there, I was excited to see Julie Keel at her Housing Hub table, and she reminded me that they were looking for their next home to build. If you make between 50 and 70k and are ready to take the homeowner plunge for the first time, call Julie at 931-259-6775. They are building entry-level homes, 2-3 bedrooms under 1200 square foot for qualified individuals. This affordable housing project has been a long time coming and I can’t wait to see where it leads. On a completely different note, don’t forget that it is that time of year again, and burn permits are now required. It is super easy to get one online at www.burnsafetn.org or call 877-350-BURN.
