The Lee University Presidential Concert Series will continue with a special performance by the university’s own Alan Wyatt, a renowned jazz musician and teacher, on Monday, Feb. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Dixon Center. This concert will feature a talented ensemble of musicians and showcase Wyatt’s exceptional skills as both a performer and teacher in the world of jazz.
“We are excited to present Alan Wyatt, whose musical expertise has enriched both Lee University and the wider community for decades,” said Darlia Conn, director of Lee’s Presidential Concert Series. “Together with some of his dearest friends and colleagues, this concert will showcase the extraordinary jazz talent in our hometown.”
Known for his musicianship, Wyatt has performed and toured with artists such as Frank Sinatra Jr., The Temptations, The Four Tops, Tito Puente Jr., Natalie Cole, Manhattan Transfer, Melissa Manchester, Doc Severinson, Hank Jones, and Clay Aiken. He has also toured with the Dorsey Brothers Orchestra, Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, and the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra and was a featured soloist on the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra recordings Progressive Jazz 2009 and Fleet Street…
