Chattanooga man charged with attempted murder after shooting leaves victim paralyzed

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A man faces an attempted murder charge after the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) says he shot another man as he searched for a Bluetooth connector in his trunk.

The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Jakel Woods, shot the victim at the red light at Brainerd Road and East Brainerd Road just after 4:30 a.m. on March 25, an affidavit says.
