WHITFIELD COUNTY, Ga. — A 32-year-old man is dead after being shot by law enforcement when he pointed a gun at them during a drug investigation on Tuesday, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
It happened around 10:40 p.m. during an undercover narcotics investigation involving Dalton Police Department detectives and Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office investigators along River Road near Boyes Mill Road in Dalton.
