Flash flooding prompts water rescue at Pocket Wilderness in Soddy-Daisy Sunday evening

SODDY-DAISY, Tenn. — Several people at the Blue Hole in the Pocket Wilderness in Soddy-Daisy had to be rescued after flash flooding caused by a heavy rainstorm stranded them on one side of the creek.

Firefighters with the Mowbray and Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Departments and other Hamilton County agencies were called to the scene just before 6 p.m. Sunday.

Swift water teams set up a system or ropes to help get those stranded back to the right side of the creek…
