Police: East Ridge man who agreed to care for dog instead leaves it tied at animal shelter

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. — A man faces animal cruelty charges in East Ridge after police say he agreed on Facebook to care for a woman’s dog, but ended up leaving it tied up to a tree without water outside an animal shelter.

East Ridge Police arrested 33-year-old Bryan Jacob Gardenhire on Monday.
